RESEARCH CURRENTLY RECRUITING - MELBOURNE
Swinburne University is currently recruiting male or female volunteers between 6 and 17 years of age. These volunteers need to have a current diagnosis of ADHD and currently seeking treatment from a qualified clinician. The researchers are looking at measuring and exploring the differences between the control children's and the ADHD children's brain activity. This measuring involves the recording of brain waves, ie an EEG. An EEG involves the use of "recording disks" which are placed on the scalp, which will measure and record the small electrical potentials of the brain. The EEG procedure is non invasive and totally painless. The measurements will become part of an international database. There will be two sessions of approximately three hours each. Volunteers' confidentiality will be protected. An honorarium will be paid to compensate for time and travel expenses. If you would like your child to participate or wish to know more then please email Sharnel at: ShPerera@groupwise.swin.edu.au
